About this event

Are you a diabetic? Pre-diabetic? Or, do you want to learn more about diabetes?

There are 1.4 million Americans who are diagnosed with diabetes, annually, according to the American Diabetes Association. This disease can cause vision loss, amputations, weight loss, heart, kidney and liver complications, even death.

As your premier health care system, Iberia Medical Center wants to decrease this number by providing education and support. We care about your health and the health of our community.

Topics will include but are not limited to:

· Basics of diabetes and its management

· Monitoring glucose levels

· Healthy living strategies

· Proper usage of devices

· Treatment options
