- ➤ Blackham Coliseum hosted its 47th annual 4-H and FFA Lafayette Parish Livestock Show and Sale on Friday, where 4-H students presented animals such as cattle, poultry and pigs. News 15
- ➤ Officials opened warming shelters to help residents stay safe from the cold; Lafayette’s shelter began Saturday at Dupuis Recreational Center on E. Pont Des Mouton Road, and Iberia’s shelter will open today at the Robert B. Green Veteran’s Memorial Building + other parishes offer similar support. News 15

- ➤ Red River Bank will build a $2.25M branch office at the corner of Camellia Boulevard and Bluebird Drive after permits were approved from Jan. 14 to Jan. 20, and Triad Construction Services will manage the project. The Advocate

- ➤ Keyon Martin, the former Ragin’ Cajuns and current Ravens cornerback, visited Alice Boucher Elementary School to read to students and share lessons on determination and education. He encouraged them to follow their passions and see school as the foundation for success. KATC
