- ➤ A Lafayette Pizza Hut location at 1821 W. Pinhook Road may close this weekend after Yum Brands announced shuttering 250 underperforming outlets nationwide + the store is operated by ADT Pizza. The Advocate
- ➤ Alesi Pizza House + a beloved Italian restaurant on Johnston Street since 1957 is up for sale at an asking price of $1.4 million; the family said it will remain open until a buyer is found. News 15

- ➤ The Broussard Sports Complex earned $21 million in 2025, nearly doubling its 2024 revenue and reinvesting much of the proceeds to boost parks + recreation funding. News 15

- ➤ Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy boys soccer defeated Erath 4-1 for their first playoff win Friday night at ARCA — senior Peyton Chapman scored a hat trick and Jayden Gerami netted one goal — and the Eagles will next face University High in Baton Rouge. The Advocate
- ➤ The UL men's basketball team won its fourth game in a row with an 85-80 victory over Central Michigan on Saturday, led by six players in double figures and improved offensive rebounds (a shift from earlier struggles). The team is building momentum for Sun Belt play. The Advocate
- ➤ UL transfer pitcher Julianne Tipton shined last Friday as she helped win two games with 6.2 innings of relief at the Ragin’ Cajuns contest — she credited the team’s support for helping her overcome a difficult season. The Advocate
- ➤ ESA Falcons won 1-0 over Lafayette Christian in Friday’s Division IV boys soccer bidistrict playoff game when Austen Montet’s free kick deflected off a defender’s head, and the win advances the team to the regional round at Vermilion Catholic. The Advocate
- ➤ On Friday, the Westgate Tigers beat David Thibodaux 63-55 in New Iberia, keeping their District 4-4A title hopes alive. Coach Oliver Winston said the team improved on defense & will face Teurlings Catholic at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Advocate
