- ➤ More than 200 volunteers cleaned up after Mardi Gras on Saturday morning, covering route from Johnston Street and University Avenue to South College Road and from Bertrand to Reinhart Drive near Cajun Field. - ➤ South Regional Library hosted a free event celebrating South Louisiana Creole culture with Zydeco IzReal and Friends. Attendees enjoyed a hands-on lesson in local folk music and history (with children actively joining) during the performance. News 15

- ➤ UL Ragin’ Cajuns pitched a strong win over Maryland at Russo Park Saturday, winning the series 9 to 1 after a comeback win Friday. Coach Matt Deggs praised team momentum while starting pitcher Andrew Herrmann limited runs and struck out seven in 6.1 innings. The Advocate
