Jeff Landry announced that Amazon’s $12B AI data center will create 540 permanent jobs and 1,700 indirect roles in Caddo and Bossier parishes, with construction beginning immediately; STACK Infrastructure will build the project while SWEPCO supplies power and Amazon invests $400M in water upgrades. - ➤ Former Congressman Charles Boustany earned a master’s degree in history from UL Lafayette today and received the Richard G. Neiheisel Graduate Award for academic excellence. - ➤ LSU baseball swept its opponents in Jacksonville this weekend at the Jax College Baseball Classic, outscoring Indiana, Notre Dame, and UCF — boosting both its offense and pitching stats. Head coach Jay Johnson praised the team’s improved performance. The Daily Advertiser
