- ➤ Renovations began at Comeaux Recreation Center with a $750,000 investment to update the facility as Lafayette Consolidated Government enhances community spaces. - ➤ The 22nd Annual Heritage Parade (Let Freedom Ring) will roll through North Lafayette on Sunday, March 1 at 2:00 p.m. with marching bands, colorful floats, and community groups; barricades and street closures are scheduled starting Friday, Feb. 27 along key routes. City of Lafayette

- ➤ The University of Louisiana System Board unanimously selected Ramesh Kolluru as the new president of UL Lafayette. His interim leadership cut the school’s deficit from $50 million to $12 million, making him the seventh president at the university. News 15
