- ➤ Six Correctional Deputies were treated after an offender threw white powder identified as fentanyl during a booking process at the Correctional Center on Mar 27 — all are under medical evaluation. KLFY
- ➤ Former City Marshal Brian Pope was arrested Wednesday night on an unspecified probation violation and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center—he had received three years probation in 2021 after pleading guilty to malfeasance for taking $84,742.30 in fees. KLFY

- ➤ Home Bank was named among the top 50 best-performing U.S. banks for 2024 as announced Wednesday, making it the only Louisiana bank and one of only 13 from the southeastern region recognized.
