- ➤ Couret Farms will host its Spring Market on Saturday, April 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free event — featuring more than 70 vendors and food trucks — will take place on the historic grounds outside the Couret Farmhouse at 300 Flores Court. News 15
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ No injuries were reported when five people were displaced by an apartment fire Tuesday afternoon on the 400 block of Failla Road (investigators say a candle in a bedroom sparked the blaze) as firefighters contained it in 15 minutes. KATC

- ➤ Lafayette Travel launched the EatLafayette app today at a membership luncheon, offering locals and visitors a free tool to explore hundreds of locally owned restaurants, live event listings, and curated food trails (including the popular Po-boy Trail). - ➤ Krewe de Acadian is hosting the B.Y.O.B. Hamburger and Hot Dog Festival at the Youngsville Sports Complex Ampitheatre on Sunday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.—featuring a cook-off between police departments, live music by Spank the Monkey and Jamie Bergeron and the Kickin’ Cajuns, and entry for $5 with free admission for kids 10 and under.
