- ➤ Lafayette Parish School System named Colleen Comeaux as the new principal of Lafayette Elementary on April 11th. She brought over 15 years of teaching and leadership experience — having served at North Elementary and Cpl. Michael Middlebrook Elementary — and is set to build a supportive learning environment for students and staff. BY Local News
- ➤ The Lafayette Parish School System announced that Kim Thibodeaux has been named as its new Arts, Music, and Media Center Specialist, replacing retiring Paget Guidry (who served the district for many years). Thibodeaux brings 32 years of teaching experience from St. Thomas More Catholic High School and built the art program at Southside (her first LPSS role) and will work to boost arts education for students. - ➤ The Lafayette Parish School System named Sarah Clavelle as principal of Corporal Michael Middlebrook Fine Arts Magnet Academy effective immediately; she brings 18 years of local experience from roles such as Choir Director at Northside High School and assistant principal at Live Oak Elementary (among others) to strengthen creative arts and academic focus.
