- ➤ Broussard finished rehabilitating its downtown water tower with an updated graphic as part of the city’s water system upgrade master plan. The plan will soon start work on another tower off Highway 90 while adding water wells, expanding storage and replacing aging water lines. BY Local News

- ➤ Chase Morgan pitched six shutout innings as Louisiana beat Georgia Southern 4–1 to complete Friday’s suspended game at M.L. Tigue Moore Field and Conor Higgs hit his 14th home run to drive a 7–3 win on Saturday. Louisiana will play the final game of the three-game series today at noon — it will be streamed live and broadcast on local radio. KLFY
- ➤ The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns softball team fell 3-2 to Texas State on April 26 in San Marcos—pitchers traded shutout frames until extra hits produced the winning runs—while they prepare to play today at Noon to decide the series winner. KLFY
- ➤ Louisiana baseball resumed its three-game SBC series with Georgia Southern on Saturday after yesterday's suspension caused by heavy rain+lightning, with the Cajuns leading 2-0 when play halted; the final game will start today at 1 p.m.+all teams aim to improve their stand in the league.
