ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Albert Glaude recalled his May 2024 storm when a huge tree fell on his home and repairs were delayed for over eight months due to insurance issues—he said the loud noise and damage taught him to never take storm forecasts lightly. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • After years of delays, Lafayette Consolidated Government signed a letter of intent on April 24 to secure a new library home on the Northside near the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and Carmel Drive with a 99-year lease (at a symbolic rate of $1 per year) pending Lafayette Parish Council approval.
