- ➤ Broussard Charter Academy will open in August 2027 on a property near the Broussard Sports Complex at St. Julien Park. The new charter school will serve kindergarten through eighth-grade students and is managed by CSUSA. BY Local News
- ➤ LPSS is offering eighth-graders zoned for Comeaux High a hardship waiver to attend Northside, Carencro, Lafayette, Acadiana or Southside High for the 2026-2027 school year. Families must apply online by Friday, May 29 at 4:30 p.m. and note students are responsible for transportation—school choice may affect athletic eligibility. KATC
