- ➤ On Sunday, the 38th Annual Zydeco Extravaganza filled Blackham Coliseum with zydeco dancers, food vendors, and live music from artists like Keith Frank and Geno Delafose. Organizers said the event — called Zydeco Coachella — also featured cultural exhibits and youth programs to keep Creole traditions alive. KATC

- ➤ NOAA forecasts a 60% chance for an above-average Atlantic hurricane season—expected to bring 13 to 19 named storms, including up to 10 hurricanes and 3 to 5 major hurricanes. - ➤ Louisiana State Treasurer John Fleming, M.D. said about 143,000 unclaimed property checks totaling over $34 million will be mailed out from every parish on Friday May 30.
