Dustin Miller introduced a bill to stop pharmacy benefit managers from operating, but the measure was not discussed before the session closed at 6 p.m. CVS sent texts warning the bill would force 120 pharmacies to close and raise prices—Attorney General Liz Murrill said her office will investigate if CVS misused personal information. - ➤ On Thursday, the Louisiana House voted 98 to 1 to pass a $53.5 billion budget package for the upcoming fiscal year that includes third-year stipends of $2,000 for teachers and $1,000 for support staff. Lawmakers also asked voters to approve a constitutional amendment for permanent raises that would boost teacher and staff salaries by $2,250 and $1,225 respectively—while they made changes to auto insurance rules to help lower premiums.
