- ➤ Today, Creole LaLa marks its one-year anniversary at Feed & Seed with a free event that starts at 6 p.m. featuring a Creole table hosted by Louisiana Creole Inc.—an open jam session from 7 to 9 p.m. will follow with free food and local vendors. KATC
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ The Swig store, known for its viral dirty sodas, will open soon on Johnston Street in The Forum shopping center near F-45 gym and Jersey Mike's — making it the first location in Louisiana. Workers have installed chillers and mixers to serve fizzy, fruity, creamy drinks, and the opening is expected in about three weeks to one month. The Advocate
- ➤ Northgate Mall was bought last month by Jacoby Landry and is being rebranded as The Hub—named for Lafayette’s nickname and the I-10/I-49 cloverleaf design. The new owner said the first project—an interior renovation of the former Planet Fitness space that will become a health club and spa in partnership with his sister—will be finished in about six months and will include mixed-use commerce, green spaces and improved lighting. - ➤ Lafayette Travel and EatLafayette have launched the Po-boy Trail — a self-guided culinary experience featuring over 70 restaurants and specialty shops serving unique takes on the classic po-boy sandwich — across Lafayette Parish.
