Good morning, Lafayette.
🎓 Education
Local colleges and nonprofits across Louisiana are helping college-bound students complete essential tasks like housing, registration, and financial aid to soften summer melt.
Teams use calls, texts, and in-person check-ins — a bridge to keep graduates on track for college.
🏛️ Government
Lafayette officials are urging residents to support local nonprofits rather than give money to panhandlers at intersections as part of the Change the Way We Give campaign.
The initiative aims to boost safety by directing donations through groups like Acadiana Regional Coalition on Homelessness.
