ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Firefighters responded to an overnight house fire on the 100 block of South Meyers Drive in Lafayette just before 12:30 a.m. on August 9 after the alarm system alerted the homeowners to smoke from the eaves; the home sustained moderate damage to the storage room and roof with additional water and smoke damage inside (no injuries were reported) as investigators probe the cause.
