- ➤ A Fat Pat’s Kitchen will be built on the south side near Acadiana Mall after Lafayette Consolidated Government approved a $2.6 million permit at 6004 Johnston St.—Chase Group Construction is set to lead the project that includes a restaurant and adjoining space for a future tenant; the 1.4-acre property was bought last November for under $1 million by a group including Rotolo’s CEO Mitch Rotolo. - ➤ Lafayette Parish Schools launched the Core Report, Louisiana’s first accountability system that measures school performance using four values—Growth, Opportunity, Culture, and Safety. - ➤ Today, South Louisiana Community College students, faculty and staff use their school IDs as library cards at Lafayette Public Library branches, giving about 5,000 people immediate access to check out materials, reserve study spaces, and use online services like tutoring and job search help—making library resources easier to access.
