  • ➤ UL Lafayette senior Sophie Cramond brightened pediatric patients’ days at Women's and Children's Hospital on September 26 by delivering 400 stuffed animals—collected with help from Dave and Busters and Bead Busters—to comfort children during their treatment.  News 15

  • ➤ LSU led Ole Miss 7-3 until penalties nullified DJ Pickett’s 71-yard interception return—another flag set up an Ole Miss touchdown that gave the Rebels a 17-7 lead at halftime. The calls shifted the momentum and put LSU on the defensive in the game.  The Daily Advertiser
  • ➤ Louisiana football fought back in a Sun Belt game as third-string quarterback Lunch Winfield led the Cajuns to a 2OT win over Marshall. Winfield rushed for 129 yards and threw for 125 yards—his 10-yard overtime touchdown helped overcome a 17-point deficit and sparked hopes for a new starting quarterback.  The Daily Advertiser
