- ➤ The City of Broussard donated extra furniture from its public works building to Clayton— a village of 368 people located 160 miles away in Concordia Parish— after a summer fire destroyed its city hall, and Clayton is operating out of a trailer while it rebuilds. News 15
- ➤ Lafayette honored local champions advancing accessibility and inclusion at its 2025 Awards Ceremony on October 7 at the Heymann Performing Arts Center. - ➤ UL Interim President Jamie Hebert said the university faces a $25 million deficit and will cut 10% of expenses by closing the Office of Sustainability and Community Engagement and restructuring other departments—with six jobs lost—to work toward fiscal stability by May.
