- ➤ Lafayette drivers welcomed the opening of the Louisiana Avenue Extension on Friday, October 24, which connects East Butcher Switch Road to West Gloria Switch Road and eases congestion on the northside—featuring a new roundabout, upgraded bridge, and pedestrian sidewalks. The new four-lane road offers an alternative route for approaching the interstate and is expected to improve traffic flow for drivers and pedestrians. News 15
- ➤ The Louisiana State Treasurer’s Office holds over $900 million in unclaimed funds for current and former residents, with one in six residents possibly having unclaimed property.
