- ➤ On November 8, the 24 Hour Citizen Project held its ninth annual event at Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette—funding five community projects that include a global flavors festival, solar-powered food fridge installations, outdoor chess tables, a quarterly newspaper led by kids, and teen certification training. The projects received awards from $3,000 to $3,700 each, adding to nearly $187,000 in private funding for 42 citizen-led projects since 2016. KATC
