- ➤ This weekend, Lafayette hosts a range of events for families and local culture lovers—on Friday, writers gather at the Center for Louisiana Studies while the Acadiana Center for the Arts and Heymann Center offer a family vault event and a musical performance at 7 p.m.; on Saturday and Sunday, residents can visit Native American Culture Day at Vermilionville, check out a Gun & Knife Show, listen to live music, play family bingo, and join a community writing project at Basin Arts.
